Freedom Fighter Loot & Gifting Event Is Here

Here we go the new spam gift event is here just in time for the holiday weekend, Freedom Fighters !!!

Send & beg your friends for boosts starting with the American Dream +150 defensive skills collect them and not only get the boosts but master each level and get a loot item you can see listed below in the graphic. Not bad to be honest as far as the boosts are concerned the loot item not that great.

Then it a day and a half you can get the next boost Flag Bearer + 150 Attack skills and again another crappy loot item for each level. then in 3 1/2 days the final one opens fireworks and you get a boost +200 defensive skills and after you master that you get the grand prize The Freedom Eagle 151 attack/ 114 defense. No word on whether or not you can do it again but my guess would be yes as it is a 11 day event.

So there you have have more stuff to do on top of all the rest they threw at us this week. Have fun everyone.

Mystery Boosts are free gifts that you can send to your friends from the “Free Gifts” page. Send boosts to your friends, and you may get some back depending on how awesome your friends are.

What’s Inside:

Each Mystery Boost contains multiple boosts. There are four categories of boosts: common, uncommon, rare, and superior. You can receive as many as three categories of boosts in one Mystery Boost.

Among those four categories are 28 different boosts that help you fight, rob, and do jobs. You can receive up to 27 boosts each time! Mystery Boosts are like a box of chocolates. You never know what’s gonna explode in your face.

What’s New So Far This Week : Mafia Wars

Well it is only Tuesday and we have a ton of stuff going on already in Mafia Wars.

Lets start with Death By Ice Event. This is gonna piss off alot of players because they are doing a slow roll out on this Icing Event for the family Module. How the hell can you have an icing competition with all the Mafia Wars Families if not all of them are going to have it at the same time. DUH Zynga !!! Nice move fair & balanced huh what are you FOX News LOL !!!

MAFIA WARS FAMILY ICING EVENT

Who is the strongest Family out there? A new icing event will determine the coolest and baddest Family in Mafia Wars. Y’all will need to work together to earn mastery items that will be awarded to everyone in the Family. Extra special rewards will go the top 10 Families.

Q: When does the event start and finish?
A: The event begins June 28, 2011 and ends July 5, 2011. The homepage banner will have a timer once the event begins.

Q: I am hearing that a few of my friends already have this event. How come it is not showing on my account?
A: Each time that we launch a new feature it is released to a limited number of people. This is meant to ensure that the feature is stable after it has gone live. Initially not all players will have access to this feature.

Q: I am currently in a Family and we already have a lot of ices. Do those ices count towards the event?
A: No. Your ices starting from when the event goes live will be counted towards the Death by Ice event. This way, everyone who participates will start from the same spot.

Q: If I leave my current Family and go to another Family, which Family gets my ices?
A: Your ices that you accumulate during the event with Family A will stay with Family A if you leave. Once you join Family B, any new ices you bring in will count towards Family B

Ok next on the list is the new operations and there are 6 new ones with new crappy loot items, have fun if you must oh wait they dont give you much of a choice you have to start them to get to the next screen unless you want to refresh the screen to go back to where you were. but you can find them on the Official Mafia Wars Blog.

Next up is the Steal Of The Summer sale in the marketplace. And they screwed this up last night when they put it up by giving a lot of players the Wrist Rockets in their inventory and boosting a lot of players defensive numbers big time some players went up by thousands but of course, what Zynga giveth Zynga take it away. So those players who thought they got lucky found it wasn’t so. It never ceases to amaze me how they can fix this stuff real fast but the real problems of the game go untouched.

And finally they went and changed the stats on alot of the new Brazil loot in the new districts. So went up some went down. Looks like they finally saw that the stats were exactly alike so the made most of it better. So they did do something right LOL. you will have to look at your numbers and this is probably why alot of you are still seeing your numbers fluctuate. Next time Zynga do a proofread on the stuff you are releasing so you dont have this problem.

MAFIA WARS FAMILY ICING EVENT

Zynga has announced the first event using the new family module called “Death By Ice” and it starts tomorrow. Why they are releasing this event so early into development I will never know but I can already hear the complaints. I personally think it is too soon but they will do what they want anyway especially when you cant expand the families past 100 members so all of your family cant be involved is pretty stupid and unfair.

But here is the info on the event they gave us to get to you.

Family mastery rewards

Every time your Family hits an icing mastery tier, the entire Family gets the mastery item. Ice players in Fighting, and your ices during the event will count towards your Family’s icing mastery.

Not part of a Family yet? Head to the Families page under the My Mafia tab to find Families that are recruiting or Families that your friends have joined. Once you accept an invitation into a Family, you will be able to participate in the Death by Ice event.

Unlike other cities, Brazil is being presented a little differently. Brazil has been created with the intention to allow friends to ‘team up’ on jobs and challenges in a group setting. This allows every player to invite a crew of friends to collect awesome rewards and speed up completion of this new city! Challenges will be difficult and the competition will be strong…be prepared to lose items from robs, vault awesome rewards and play Mafia Wars like never before!

What’s new and Different In Brazil?!

*Going old-school NY-Style with energy jobs and NY-style mastery items
*Properties that generate Energy, Stamina, Consumables, Att and Def Items and a ‘Collect All’ Timer
*Precious Goods Collection, the revaultable and ROB-able Collection
*Brazil Crew (Needed for Category Bonuses)

BRAZIL CREW FAQ:

*Every User will have an option to recruit ‘Brazil Crew’ of friends to help in: Jobs, Fights, Robs and Properties
*Each category has 2 separate roles (8 Total) that can be filled 1 time per day
*Objective: Activate all 8 roles daily to earn bonuses and protection
*Available Friends Remain in Queue until activated into Category Roles
*Bonuses/Protection will be rewarded at time of activation
*Friends must accept Brazil Crew requests to be added to open queue spots
*When a crew request is accepted, both the sending and receiving party will become part of each other’s crew

Mafia Wars Live & New Boss Fight:The Raven 411

Well today was the famous Mafia Wars Live show and it was only a half hour today. We did find out a couple of things like the NEW Brazil Districts come this weekend along with new collections & achievements to go with it and we also found out that The new Boss Fight : The Raven is designed to drive you crazy and it will be here a limited time but but will be brought back every so often. They also answered various questions from the forums & live chat. If you want to watch the show the just go here and you can watch it at you leisure.

I have to say this boss fight is quite a bit different than we are used to and is very challenging and frustrating at the same time. Some hate it some like I personally hate it as it takes up to much time & stamina to make it drop. So I might not get all the achievements that go with this one as I don’t have the time to waste on it. If it pops up and I have time I might do it but I ain’t going out of my way on this one folks.

Assassin Boss Fight: The Raven FAQ

A mysterious assassin is ‘icing’ top Mafia fighters, and he only appears when a worthy oppenent is found. This Boss Fight is unlike many others, and he isn’t going to be easy to take down.

Q: When does this event begin?
A: This event is scheduled to begin on 06/14/11. As with many of our events, this event will be slowly rolled out to our players to ensure stability within the game. Due to the gradual release of this event it will not be immediately available to all of our players.

Q: Why are new events always released to a limited audience?
A: When we release a new feature into the game, we want to ensure that it does not create instability and functions in the way that it was intended. Although we try to release it to the wider audience as quickly as possible, it is imperative that we make sure that it will not interfere with your enjoyment of the game.

Q: Can I manually be added this event if I contact Customer Support?
A: Unfortunately our agents will not be able to manually add you to this event. The wider audience of players will be added in a gradual fashion and our agents do not have the means to expedite this process.

Q: How is this Boss Fight triggered?
A: This Boss Fight is activated when you visit the fight page and start icing other players. When your activity catches the Raven’s attention, the Boss Fight will trigger and you will have the chance to taken the Raven down.

Q: How long do I have to take down the Raven?
A: You only have 8 hours to take the Raven down before he disappears and takes all of the consumables with him.

Q: Will this boss fight require the use of consumables?
A: Yes. Like the previous Boss fights there will be four consumables that will help you defeat the boss.

Q: What are the Ammo/consumables that I will need to collect?
A: There are four types of Ammo that you can collect:

Shotgun Blast -> 25-35 damage. This consumable is a free gift and can be found in feeds.
Knife Slash -> 5-15 damage. This consumable may be found by completing Jobs.
Knuckle Punch -> 7-13 damage. This consumable may be found when Fighting.
Crack of the Bat -> 9-11 damage. You have a chance at finding this consumable when Robbing.

Q: Are the consumables available to be purchased?
A: Yes. The consumable items are available for purchase in allotments of 10 each, however, the Shotgun Blast is a collectible as well.

Q: Will the consumable still drop even if the Boss fight isn’t active?
A: No. You will only find the consumables when the Assassin is active on your Operations page.

Q: How come it is more difficult to collect the consumables this time, and why are the shotgun blasts listed on the gift page?
A: This Boss Fight was designed to be tougher than the rest. Each time the Boss Fight is triggered you will have a limited time to defeat him. Once he is gone, he takes the consumables with him so that you can’t stockpile them for his defeat.

Q: What am I supposed to do when the Boss Fight pop-up is triggered?
A: You will have the option to Ask for Ammo or jump right into the fight. If you click ‘Fight Him’, you will be taken to the fight screen.

Q: Will there be hidden combos similar to the previous Boss Fights?
A: Yes. By discovering the correct order of four-move combos you will be able to do greater damage to the Raven.

Q: How do I determine what the best Combo will be to attack the Boss?
A: The best use of a 4-Ammo Combo is designed to be found through self discovery. Users can share Combo’s through feeds after they have discovered them.

Q: Are customer support agents able to provide Combos?
A: The Combos are designed for self discovery and for players to share between themselves. Customer Support agents will not be able to provide this information to you.

Q: What is the reward for defeating the Raven?
A: The Assassin’s Jacket is the Ultimate reward for taking down the Raven.

Q: Will be able to win an Assassin’s Jacket each time that I defeat the Raven in the Boss Fight?
A: Yes! Each time that you snuff the Raven you will receive the Assassin’s Jacket!

Q: Is there an achievement for this event?
A: Yes! This boss fight has three separate achievements that you can obtain.

Q: What are the three achievements and how do I earn them?
A: You earn the achievements by defeating the Raven:

Requiescat in Pace Primus: Earned by killing The Assassin 1 time
Requiescat in Pace Decimus: Earned by killing The Assassin 10 times
Requiescat in Pace Centesimus: Earned by killing the Assassin 100 times

Q: The Raven hasn’t appeared after I beat him the last time. How am I supposed to take him down multiple times?
A: The Raven is triggered through the fight page, so the best way to draw him out is to continue collecting those ices!

Q: What happens to my consumables when I am not engaged in fighting the Boss?
A: Although you are not able to collect or purchase any of the consumables until you have triggered a Boss fight, they will remain in your inventory until the next time you need them to take the Raven out!

LET’S MAKE FACEBOOK RED, WHITE & BLUE TODAY !!!

Today is Flag Day here in the United States and I am asking all of our American followers to show your Patriotism today by doing something were simeple just add the American Flag as your profile picture.

Let’s all show how proud we are of our Flag and what it stands for. Many great men and women have died protecting it and what it stand for. Well I think this says it all. This is reprinted from the Post & Courier & was written by R.L Schreadley

The grand old flag, the flag of the United States of America, has several names: the Stars and Stripes; Old Glory; the Star-Spangled Banner; the Red, White and Blue. To those of us who have served or now serve in the military, it most often is simply ‘the Colors.’

The 50 white stars in its sea-blue field represent the 50 sovereign states in our indissoluble union, a union preserved and defined in our most tragic and uncivil of wars, a war that pitted father against son, brother against brother. A war that began here in Charleston, the Queen City of the Old South. A war that took the lives of more Americans, North and South, than all our other wars combined. A war whose sesquicentennial we commemorate this year.

The flag’s 13 horizontal stripes symbolize the 13 original colonies, colonies clinging to the Atlantic seaboard of a vast, untamed North American landmass, colonies that threw off the tyranny of the then mightiest empire in the world.

The stripes that are red signify the courage and blood of those who pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to the great cause of freedom, whose self-sacrifice secured the liberties we, as Americans, enjoy today; the stripes that are white, our birthright, as Americans, to make of ourselves all that we are capable of making of ourselves, to achieve as much as our God-given talents enable us to achieve.

The flag of the United States of America has flown over hundreds of shell-shattered battlefields, some of them in far-off, desolate corners of the globe, battlefields of the First and Second World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan. Battlefields, more tragically, here at home: Manassas, Shiloh, Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, Atlanta, Charleston, the Little Big Horn.

Our flag has flown at the masthead or flagstaff of thousands of U.S. Navy ships and craft, that have made our presence known and respected in every ocean, in every sea, in virtually every river and body of navigable water in the world. It flies as proudly today on mighty, nuclear-powered warships as it did, and still does, on the wooden-hulled, sail-powered frigate Constitution; as it did and still does (at least for a little longer) on Commodore Dewey’s flagship Olympia at the battle of Manila Bay; as it did on the burning wreckage of our Pacific battle fleet at Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1941; as it did later, under far different circumstances, at Midway, Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and ultimately Tokyo Bay, when the greatest sea war in history was brought to a victorious close; as it did on brave PBRs and Swift Boats in the rivers of Vietnam.

Folded reverently into taut triangles, the flag of the United States of America has been, and is, presented with distressing frequency to grieving wives and husbands, mothers and fathers, sons and brothers, daughters and sisters whose tear-stained faces bear eloquent witness that they shall never again, in this world, share the consoling presence of loved ones fallen in the service of their country.

The flag of the United States of America has been burned, trampled, and spat upon by those either ignorant or uncaring of what it truly signifies, and what a long, grey line of patriots gave their all, to preserve for all. It has never been furled in dishonor.

And it never shall, so long as there are other patriotic Americans sworn to protect and defend our beloved country from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The flag of the United States of America is my flag, your flag, our flag. Fly it proudly and on this day, as on every day, give thanks that fate has made you part of the greatest nation the world has ever known, the United States of America.
