Well you heard they were coming from Blue Eyed Nate on Mafia Wars Live and now the Official Mafia Wars Blog is saying the same thing. WAR LOOT ROLLBACKS ARE STARTING SOON !!! 

Here is a reprint of the Official Mafia Wars Blog below. My question is how are they going to tell the legitimate people from the people who used the scripts. Some people actually pay to speed up declaring war. Are there going to be innocent victims and how many other people will be caught in their web. I guess we will see in the coming days and weeks. I just hope Zynga gives the innocent people some flowers and candy before they screw em.

Declare War Loot Claw Back Happening Soon!

Declaring war and helping your friends out with their wars is a great way to collect some awesome loot. Because the war loot is so awesome, we limit how much of it can be collected in a day to maintain game balance.

We have discovered that some of you have collected more than you should have. We will be reclaiming this extra war loot over the next few weeks. This will only effect non-giftable, tier 2, high-end war loot and above.

So, to recap: If you have collected more high-end loot from wars than you should have, we will be adjusting your quantity of that loot to what you should have earned within the appropriate limits.

MW Live 7 / Rollbacks Coming / Bangkok Ending 411

Yesterday Blue Eyed Nate had his Mafia Wars Live Show and well they did it on the fly as time was limited and they answered a bunch of question the players asked. The one question & answer that got everyone’s attention was the one about the war loot exploit that alot of players got and catapulted most of them over 200,000 on their Attack & Defensive Weapons. Well Nate said on the show to watch for rollbacks to those players. So ROLLBACKS ARE COMING !!!

Betrayal in Bangkok FAQ

Q:  Why are you closing Bangkok? A:  Change is in the air and there are new and exciting things coming for Mafia Wars. Q:  What exactly does the closing of Bangkok mean? A:  After Bangkok closes it will no longer be accessible.  Although you will still be able to see in on the Travel menu, it will be grayed out and travel there will not be permitted.  Aside from travel to the city, this also means that you will not be able to collect form Bangkok properties or access the bank.  In addition you will not be able to vault or re-vault any of the collections after it has closed. Q:  When will Betrayal in Bangkok mission event begin? A:  This event is scheduled to be rolled out to our players at 12:00 P.M. (PDT) on 07/27/11. Q:  How long will I have to complete the mission before Bangkok closes? A:  You will have a week to finish the mission and to collect as much loot as possible. Q:  When will Bangkok officially be closed? A:  Bangkok will be closing on 08/03/11. Q:  Is the closing of Bangkok going to be permanent? A:  Bangkok will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Q:  What does the mission event entail? A:  You will have one week to complete the mission before the closing of Bangkok occurs.  During the event you will receive 5X mastery for finishing jobs in Bangkok.  In additional to the regular loot drops for the city you will also have the chance to loot a new and rare weapon bonus item. Q:  What is the bonus item that can be looted with this event? A:  The additional bonus item called the ‘Iron and Silk’ will drop from Bangkok fights, jobs, and robbing.  It has attack strength of 74 and a defense strength of 73. Q:  Will there be a mastery item that is awarded if I complete the Global Mission:  Betrayal in Bangkok? A:  If you complete this mission event you will be rewarded with the ‘Dragontongue’, which has an attack strength of 151, and a defense strength of 60. Q:  Will I need to collect any special items in order to complete the mission event? A:  In order to complete the event you will need to collect ‘Forger’s Gloves’, and ‘Pirates’.  The Forger’s Gloves will be used for completing the mission, and the Pirates are available in feeds to help you complete Bangkok. Q:  How will I be able to collect the Pirates needed to complete the mission? A:  You can collect the Pirates by posting and clicking feeds about the event.  When a player posts a feed about the event, both the player who posted and the player who clicks the feed will be given the Forger’s Gloves.  You can collect a maximum of 5 each day for clicking a feed, and a maximum of 5 each day for posting a feed. Q: How are the Forger’s Gloves collected? A: You can request the Forger’s Gloves from the Free Gifts Page. Q:  Are there a maximum number of Forger’s Gloves that I can collect each day? A:  There are not limits to the number of Forger’s Gloves that you can collect each day, however, please note that the maximum number of gifts that a player can receive each day is restricted to 200. Q:  Will the Forger’s Gloves and Pirates be available for purchase in the Marketplace? A:  These items will not be available for purchase. Q:  What will happen to my progress in Bangkok if I do not finish in time? A:  All progress will be frozen and you will not be able to access the city.

Upcoming Fight Changes / Batched Power Attacks

Well as alot of you have seen there has been some changes to the fight list with more Live Targets and people doing what seems to be more damage when fighting. I have reprinted below the reason why from the Official Mafia Wars Blog. 

This is being slowly rolled out but I have to say it does seem to work fine for me so far so I guess we will see how you feel after the full roll out. And it has seemed to solve that annoying message from Zynga saying they have detected irregular behavior for clicking faster than they can count. 

Another Fighting Performance Update! 

We’ll soon make an adjustment to the fighting module that should result in an improved fighting experience! The fix decreases the likelihood of the game locking up while you are in the heat of battle and reduces the glitchiness of the feedback that aggressive fighters receive when clicking the “Power Attack” button in rapid succession. These issues are addressed by batching Power Attacks to achieve better performance.

When the fighting system begins batching, you will notice it less frequently report the damage you inflict, but the numbers it does report will be larger to reflect the combined damage of multiple Power Attacks. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to inflict as much damage as before, if not more!

We are pleased to release this fix as part of our ongoing effort to improve the speed and stability of Mafia Wars. As with all new features, however, not everyone will receive this version of fighting at the same time and there’s a chance that it will change again – back to the way it was, or to another experience entirely.

Bangkok Closing In 2 Weeks

Well we finally got the confirmation from Zynga ” Bangkok IS Closing ” As we told you on our show Wednesday the leak was right about Bangkok so far now we have to wait to see when the next destination comes which shouldnt be to far behind the closing of Bangkok.

Get player updates with embedded links to help your Family in wars, operations, and more in your Chat window. You can also pop out your Family chat in a separate window so you don’t miss a beat while playing the game.

Vengeance
We cleaned up the bugs with this feature and re-released this into the wild on Tuesday. When you lose a fight, you can take vengeance on your opponent for 3RP to gain full health, 10% stamina, and a one-time 200% attack bonus. Let us know what you think of it.

New Collector’s Edition Items To Be Released Weekly!
7,000 of a new item is released every Friday. You have 24 hours to buy them.

The Big Heist
Earn double rewards for clearing a robbing board in one click. You’ll also improve your chances by 20% to rob all 9 properties successfully when you run the Big Heist.

The Italian Jobs
Triple mastery in Italy districts through July 26 and the chance for a fierce ruby-throated hummingbird (86 attack/86 defense).

This may be your last night in Bangkok, but one night can make the world your oyster. The city is shutting down so you’ll need to raid it while you still can.

Farmers Insurance Loot Event
It’s a rough world out there. Protect your valuables by collecting 7 Farmers Insurance items from jobs and fights. You’ll also be able to earn fighting and robbing boosts.

The Big Heist Robbing Event & 3X Mastery In Italy w/ Special Loot Item

Seems like we never get a break to just do one event at a time and this weekend is no different. 2 new things on top of the Icing Event & Mission.

First up is The Big Heist Robbing Event and here is a reprint from the Official Mafia Wars Blog.

Get ready to do some extreme robbing to pull off the Big Heist.

For the following week you’ll be able to rob all 9 properties on the Robbing pageat the same time with just one click! You’ll need the Rob Squad to help you perform the Big Heist, however. Get Rob Squads by sending requests from the Free Gifts page or homepage banner that promotes the Big Heist. You can also post feeds to ask friends to send you Rob Squads. (They’ll get one too for helping.)

Once you got your Rob Squads and a good heap of stamina, you’re ready to run the Big Heist. You’ll collect double the special reward you get when you clear all 9 properties on the Robbing page at the same time. Performing the Big Heist also improves your chances by 20% to rob all 9 properties successfully.

You can store up to 50 Rob Squads to run your Big Heist during this week-long event. You’ll also need to have enough stamina to clear the robbing board, though. If you don’t, you can purchase a stamina refill or use one of the free stamina packs your Mafia’s been sending you.

Put on your robbing masks and get ready to clean house!

Bon Voyage! It’s time to travel to Italy. From today until July 26 at 10AM PDT, you’ll receive 3X MASTERY on all Italian jobs. So awesome!

In addition, the new Ruby-Throated Hummingbird (86 attack, 86 defense) will drop randomly when you do jobs in Italy. There’s no limit to how many fierce hummingbirds you can get, so head back to the old country today!

This is the topic on Get Satisfaction right now. It was made by my friend & Co-Host Tre’ York who as you know is also very passionate about the game. 

Let’s all let Zynga know how we feel and what we would like to see done to improve the game. The more people who say something even if it is a small thing, the better chance we have of getting our voice heard. I dont believe in boycotts, I believe in communication and I am glad Tre’ put this together for all of us.
