>ALERT !!! BUG WITH ITALY !!! READ NOW !!!

>

There is a bug with Italy where it is showing you haven’t mastered jobs even when you have. This has been reported to Zynga and they are fixing it so please do not redo the jobs as you are only wasting your energy or stamina. You will not get extra skill points for re-mastering the jobs as they were already mastered. Would of been nice though !!!

There is a thread open on it on the forums http://forums.zynga.com/showthread.php?p=7278697#post7278697

>This Weekend From Mafia Wars / Haunted Halloween Missions

>

Well Halloween is upon us once again and so is Haunted Halloween Missions for us all this weekend from Mafia Wars.

You have to complete these missions to earn new Halloween loot like an Exploding Pumpkin or a Super Charged Hearse. Plus it could be a great way to pick up those mission achievements.

Yes we all know the loot hasn’t been the greatest with the missions lately but maybe they have been holding back and things will be better with this event. I just hope they don’t throw in the previous years crappy Halloween loot with this event.

So remember the more missions you do, the more Halloween Loot you will receive and you will get closer to finishing all the mission achievements. I just pray we all get Treats instead of Tricks from Mafia Wars. So give it a try and Click Here for your chance to get your ghoulish loot.

>A Preview Of Italy

>

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to give you a quick preview of Italy. You really need to have lots of energy and stamina for this one. The ratios of experience spent vs experience earned isn’t that great. But the overall first impression is that I have of it is good.

Italy is very expensive but you make Lira quickly so that is ok. There are 5 sections to complete right now with sections 6-8 coming this winter sometime.

They have made it now that if you choose an energy path vs the stamina path you will master the job and not have to go back and do both and they have also changed that for Vegas now as well. So in other words if you are an energy account and you do all the energy jobs you will master the tier that way now and visa versa. This does take away from building a better character and those that had to go thru Vegas the old way will not be happy.

Remember you can still do it the old way of doing the energy jobs, the fight jobs & the social jobs just make sure you don’t fight the boss before you finish the other sections or you will miss out on the other bonuses / loot.

Now the properties are good make sure you open them all right away and upgrade them so you can earn the Lira you will need to get thru Italy.

The collections are very good and offer some nice rewards, a +10% loot drop, +10 attack & +10 defense  to your skill points, +50 to your health & +15 to your energy & +15 to your stamina.

The loot items so far are ok not great but I am still going thru it so we will have to keep you informed on that one. The tier loot is very good though. Nice bonuses.

Some of the screen shots of Italy are from Jeremy “Da Irish Kid” Barnes from Mafia Wars Wiki I would like to thank him for sharing them with us all. And to play Mafia Wars

FACTOIDS
Factoid: Italy ‘Regions’ are like Vegas ‘Districts’. There are also the same 4 tiers of Mastery (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ruby). Each Region will have 2-3 paths (Energy, Fight, Social).
Factoid: You will no long need to master all paths to finish a tier. Beating a boss will automatically advance you to a fully unmastered map on the next tier.
Factoid: Italian Boss fights are designed similarly to the Beat the Feds event. In theory, a really strong player could beat a Boss all by herself, but very few players will be able to do that. The Boss fights were purposely designed to encourage cooperation with your mafia to take down the Boss(es) together. You cannot use two Boss Fight consumables in a row (Health Kit, Shiv, Grenade, Stun Gun) Boss Fights will be timed and the boss will not heal until that timer expires, at which point, he will heal to full strength. Each Boss has a different timer.
Factoid: You can request help on a Social Job every 8 hours
Factoid: Some job consumables will be harder to obtain and may require doing multiple jobs (like New York City required Concealable Camera Loot as a consumable requirement for the job that produced Blackmail Photos)  You will need Cooked Books (from Milano) to do the job (in Napoli) that produces Hidden Charges.
FactoidLike Vegas Properties, each level will require more parts.  There are ten levels, depicted with Roman numerals (I-X)
Factoid: Port is similar to Chop Shop, but instead of Car Parts, it will cost Lira to craft items.
Factoid: Italy does not have a buildable vault like Vegas. However, it is Italy, and there will be a laundering fee again for the bank.
Factoid: Like Bangkok and Vegas, Energy and Stamina requirements for jobs will vary depending on a player’s level.
Factoid: There are no tournaments in Italy.
FAQ
Q: What level do I have to be to get into Italy?
A: Level 5
Q: Are there any loot requirements for entry into Italy?
A: No, there isn’t. However, Italian Satchel of Lira will be available, just like Envelope of Thai Baht and Vegas Rack of Chips, as a form of currency.
Q: How many Regions are there?
A: Five, initially. Regions 6-8 will be released this winter.
Q: How do I get access to Italy Beta? When will be Italy be released for everyone?
A: In order to improve the stability of the release, a only a small percentage of players will have access to Italy Beta on October 18th (evening, San Francisco time).  Beta is scheduled to go live on Beta on the evening of October 18th, pending the results of internal testing.
For players without access, Italy will be fully released on October 21st (evening, San Francisco time)  Beta is scheduled to go live on full release on the evening of October 21st, pending the results of internal testing and stability of the Beta performance.
Q: When will robbing be available?
A: Three days after full release, to give people some time to build up their properties.
Q: How do Italy Boss Fights work? (Question added 10/14)
A: Italy Boss fights work a bit differently than Vegas Boss fights.  When you start a Boss fight in Italy, a timer starts for that fight.  The Boss will not heal until that timer expires, at which point he will completely heal.  Until then, you can come back into the fight as many times as you want.  Your friends will also be able to help you attack the Boss.  Unlike Vegas, you will not be able to use two Boss fight consumables in a row (health kit/shiv/grenade/stun gun).  Remember, once you beat the boss, the tier will be completely mastered, so if you still have jobs you want to do for the skill point, master those jobs first.
Q: Will Italy collection items be revaultable? (Question added 10/14)
A: Like Vegas collection items, Italy collection items can only be vaulted once.  When we stopped the revaulting feature, we noticed there was a substantial increase in the gifting of extra items, which is the intent.
Q: I think I found a bug, what do I do? (Question added 10/18)
A: Our apologies.  We try to release our features with as few problems as possible, but sometime unforeseen errors occur and this is much more likely to happen to during the Beta period.  If you encounter a bug, please provide our customer support agents with as much information as you can accurately recall about the steps/actions you were in the middle of that led up to error.  Our customer support agents cannot change the game/account coding, but they will eagerly pass on the error information to our quality control team to fix.
